Paros is a security assessment program built as a proxy server. By using it, you will be able to check the security of your web applications. Since Paros acts as a proxy server, it will trace and trap any response to your requests. Then, it will analyze them, solve any problem found and generate reports. This proxy will intercept all HTTP data flowing between the server and the client, including cookies and form fields. This way you can prevent and avoid any security risk. It´s also able to set filters and scan for common vulnerabilities. Paros can also be useful to test your connection to other websites, showing you which kind of information they request from your computer, and how the latter responds to those requests. In order to use the program, you will need to set your browser to use a proxy server named "localhost", using the 8080 port. After that, restart your browser. From that moment on, all your browser´s traffic will pass through the Paros proxy server, and every piece of data will be analyzed.
